- 1897
- Josef and Maria Domberger lay the foundation for the well-known Augsburg based furniture mover and travel agency with the buy-out of an equestrian institute and the acquisition of a horse-drawn carriage.
- 1918
- After World War I we change from horse coach to the auto. During week-days, transportation is in the foreground, on weekends, the trucks are changed into buses.
- 1935
- With Carl and Centa Domberger, the company goes to its second generation. The first real bus is bought.
- 1945
- After World War II, Wolfgang and Ingrid Domberger start a travel agency and expand into the fields of goods carrying and furniture transportation.
- 1967
- The moving specialist Confern is founded together with twelve other moving companies. The Augsburg furniture movers continuously develop in the fields of public transportation, national and international relocations as well as over-seas transportation. Until today object and company relocations have been the main focus apart from private relocations.
- 1987
- Domberger travel agency opens in Königsbrunn. A further travel agency affiliate follows in form of the Domberger Lufthansa City Centers in 1994.
- 1990
- Carl Domberger founds together with 14 other bus companies a nationwide bus trip organizer “Beach Bus – trips to Europe’s sun beaches“. Beach Bus becomes ”BBT – European Travel Factory”, a European package tour operator.
- 1994
- With the opening of the Domberger Lufthansa City Centers and the participation in the Lufthansa City Center GmbH, the base of “Domberger - The whole world of travelling” will be laid.
- 1995
- The sister company, the Domberger Möbelspedition Josef Domberger GmbH, specializes in the delivery and installation of new furniture, kitchens and other bulk goods. Customers are mail order houses, furniture traders, internet traders and logistics companies; the disposal area contains the agglomerations of Augsburg, Munich and Ingolstadt.
- 2000
- A new headquarter is being built in Stuttgarter Street 12 in Augsburg-Oberhausen. From now on the fields of relocation, new furniture logistics, bus company and travel agency with company travel service are united under one roof (easy to access at the B17 and very close to the A8 motorway exit of Augsburg West). The Königsbrunn affiliate of the travel agency remains.
- 2003
- The bus trip providers Reim (Bobingen), Efinger (Aichach) and Domberger (Augsburg) start a community company with the name RED-Touristik GmbH. The booking headquarter and the seat of the corporation is in Stuttgarter Street 12 in Augsburg.
- 2005
- The Domberger furniture mover additionally takes over to its existing sending volume the distribution of the “white” and “brown” goods from order houses such as Quelle and Neckermann.
- 2006
- The Temporary Workers’ Act makes it possible for the well-known Augsburg based furniture carrier to get into new business areas.
- 2007
- With the closing of a logistics company, the distribution area of the Domberger furniture carrier enlarges. The workers in the Domberger Lufthansa City Center impress others with their quality of work.
- 2009
- The first cruise catalogue for river and sea trip of RED Touristik is published. The speciality: all ship trips contain the transfer to and from the customer's home.
